Acquiring a Star

Wait for successful preset.

Adjust filters. For max light on 47, use OD3 in FW1 and Open in FW2.

Paddle star onto green cross.
-
Fine-tune alignment until pupils are even.
Closing the Loop

Center star on pyramid.
-
Click "AcquireRef" on AOS Command GUI.

Click "Center Pupils" on FLAOGUI. Wait for it to finish.
-
Click "Close Loop" on FLAOGUI. Wait for it to finish.
-
Click "Done" on FLAOGUI.
-
Click "StartAO" on AOS Command GUI.
-
Click "Optimize Gain" on FLAOGUI. Wait for it to finish.
-
Hit the button!
GUI Placement
General Troubleshooting

Check AOSGUI error messages. Useful part is usually near the end.

Check FACSUM
-
Check WFS and Adsec Control GUI messages.
Loop Unstable :(
-
Manually turn down HO2 gain from Adsec Control GUI.

Manually turn down HO1 gain from Adsec Control GUI.
-
Note any striking or persistent shapes on the pupils.
-
Note any striking or persistent shapes on the Mirror GUI.
Correction is Ugly :(

Insult the complainant.

Run the "Optimize Gain" routine from FLAOGUI.

Check seeing plot for spikes.
-
Save some Optical Loop Data (WFS Mother GUI -> Optloop Diag, check all top boxes, 5000 frames, click "start")
